Da Vinci Code
2006 May 1
Da Vinci Code is novel written American author Dan Brown. With combining the detective, thriller and conspiracy theory genres, the novel become a worldwide bestseller with sales of more than 40 million copies.
The plot of the novel involves a conspiracy by the Catholic Church to cover up the “true” story of Jesus. The Vatican knows it is living a lie but does so to keep itself in power. The novel has helped generate popular interest in speculation concerning the Holy Grail legend and the role of Mary Magdalene in the history of Christianity.
Even the accuracy of the content and description was disputed by many academic scholars in the fields but the popularity still make the Da Vinci Code has been translated into 44 languages and Sony’s Columbia Pictures decide to adapt the novel to film, with a screenplay written by Akiva Goldsman, and Academy Award winner Ron Howard directing, which will release on this year, and I am waiting for that.

Mag just can’t understand the readers out there… Why don’t they treat it as just a novel which they read during their spare time!!! Infact, by being simple and not plotting it to be against the truth of certain religion or believes can make the process of reading more meaningfull and more enjoyable…
Mag loves this novel a lot and never cares of those noisy sounds surrounding which raised by others.. Read it for three times, and in different languages and watched the movies for 3 times too.. wat a coiccident!!!
Yet, still find it to be a very very very attracting story. It has very good story lines, perfect story structure..Dan Brown is a very very talented writter who is able to produce such a great story. I had read some of his other books and have to say that they are all great books. However, only those things or products that are related to religion, politics will attract more ppls’ eyes…..
sigh…
